Careers - Business Analyst

The Business Analyst role bridges the communication between market needs and the development teams to design and guide development of CPSI applications. This requires the ability to evaluate market requirements and translate them into functional and design specifications. This role provides both business and technical expertise to support the analysis, design, and specification activities and deliverables for product development.

Responsibilities of this role include

  • Drives requirements gathering/evaluation, collaborates on application design and ensure effective implementation of current and new applications
  • Coordinates and facilitates meetings with cross functional teams to gather and document requirements to explore potential solutions
  • Reviews and gathers requirements through a variety of techniques such as work sessions and interviews
  • Makes recommendations to improve and support business activities
  • Provides direction for development regarding the modification of applications and develops functional specifications to support these modifications
  • Generates and executes test plans
  • Performs general process and technical trouble-shooting
  • Completes all appropriate documentation required to maintain and support applications
  • Creates a collaborative environment with other team members to ensure the team's overall effectiveness
  • Identifies and communicates potential risks and roadblocks on projects
  • Follows change control procedures

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 years business analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with business processes and re-engineering
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and customer-service skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution
  • Must be able to act both independently and as a team member

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of financial principles, processes and practices used in a hospital/clinic or other healthcare environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, or equivalent training and professional experience
  • Agile experience highly preferred
